Community Grants

West Tamar Council’s Community Grants programme provides funding for projects and initiatives that respond to the social, cultural, recreational, economic, and environmental needs of West Tamar residents.

From the 1st of July 2021, grants of $1500 - $5000 will be made available year round on a rolling basis, subject to budget availability. Contact the Community Grants Coordinators on 6323 9200 or email if you require further information, or download the Community Grants Guidelines.

To apply, please complete the Community Grants Submission Form.

Applicants requiring assistance completing their application are welcome to attend a grant writing workshop by appointment, at a location most suitable to them. Please phone the Community Grant Coordinators on 6323 9200 to arrange.


Please read through the grant guidelines thoroughly before proceeding with your application.

Applicants that do not meet the requirements of the checklist on page five (5) of the application form will not be assessed.

Small Project Grants

Applicants seeking $1,500 or less are encouraged to apply for a Small Project Grant available all year round, subject to budget availability, please visit the Small Project Grants page for more information.

Your submission is deemed to be received:

a. if delivered by hand or sent by prepaid post - upon delivery to 2-4 Eden Street, Riverside; or

b. if transmitted electronically - upon receipt by the sender of an electronic receipt notification (generated by the system transmitting the notice).
