Draft Exeter and District Structure Plan 2023

The West Tamar Council invites written submissions on the Draft Exeter and District Structure Plan to help shape the future of Exeter, Gravelly Beach, Blackwall and Lanena.

Download the Draft Exeter and District Structure Plan 2023 here.

A Structure Plan is a document that guides the future development of a town or suburb. It lays the foundation for regulatory zoning and the planning process including where future growth is planned to occur.

The draft Structure Plan 2023 has been prepared following a review of the current Exeter Structure Plan which was prepared in 2014.  Initial consultation with the Exeter community ran from later February through to March 2021 which informed the review and draft Structure Plan.  Thank you to all who contributed to this process.

An important input to the Draft Structure Plan was the Exeter Traffic Study – Options Analysis which was completed in October 2022 which can also be viewed here.

The public consultation period is now closed.

Thank you to those who attended drop-in sessions and made submissions. The matters raised will be reviewed and considered by Council in finalising the Structure Plan.  As part of this process a report will be prepared detailing Council’s response to the submissions.  The Structure Plan is expected to be finalised later this year.
