The West Tamar Council and Rio Tinto’s Bell Bay Aluminium smelter are pleased to announce a $50,000 partnership to assist businesses in the West Tamar Municipality with recovery from the impact of COVID-19.
Small and medium sized businesses operating within the municipality will be able to apply for a Recovery, Economic and Resilience Grant between $5000 - $10,000 by demonstrating how COVID-19 has affected their business and how they will benefit from receiving a grant.
Businesses must operate within the West Tamar Council boundary, have an ABN, business insurance, be for-profit and be trading or had been trading up until COVID-19 restrictions, and can prove intent to return to trade.
The full guidelines can be downloaded here.
Expressions for this grant will be reviewed, and businesses with the projects that best align with the grant guidelines will be invited to progress to the competitive application stage for a Bell Bay Aluminium Recovery, Economic and Resilience Grant.
Expressions of interest have now closed.
