West Tamar Council received 181 responses to its Beauty Point Diving Platform community engagement process.

The West Tamar Council’s popular Irene Phelps Youth Art Competition and Exhibition is back for 2024.

The theme of this year's competition is Nature, Friendship and Heroes - which was jointly chosen by students from Beaconsfield Primary and Exeter High schools.

Lake Trevallyn has been reopened to recreational water users, following recent water quality testing by the Tamar Estuary and Esk Rivers (TEER) Program.

 Later this month, the 16 year-old, Launceston college student from Beauty Point will debut her first solo art exhibition at the Beaconsfield Community Hall Function Centre.

The West Tamar Council and Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service (PWS) are working together to resolve the future of the much-loved diving platform at Beauty Point.

Recently, concerns have been raised about the safety of the current diving platform. In light of these concerns, PWS and the Council are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents.
