Inspection of vehicle
You are asked to present your food van at the Riverside Council Offices for inspection and certification prior to use within the municipal area. Please phone the Environmental Health Officer on 63239300 to make the necessary arrangements.
Current inspection certification
If you have had your food van inspected by another Council and possess a current inspection compliance certificate, you need not present your vehicle for further inspection. Simply attach your current certification to this application form and lodge it together with the prescribed fee.
Hawkers Licence Fees
The current fee structure is as follows;
- $30 per month with a minimum fee of $150; or
- 12 months licence $360
Food Hygiene Requirements
You are advised that all food vendors operating within the West Tamar Municipal Area are subject to all the requirements of the Food Act 2003 and guidelines.
Please contact the Environmental Health Officer if you need clarification on any matter relating to the safe handling of foods, personal hygiene and labelling requirements.
