West Tamar Council's Strategic Plan is a statement of council's intended direction for the next five years.
In a diverse organisation such as council's, the Strategic Plan is a vitally important policy document. In organising to deliver council's vision, strategic choices must be made on how best to apply limited resources across the competing demands placed on council. The Strategic Plan is the beginning of council's planning cycle. There is tight alignment between it, the Annual Plan and Annual Budget. The Annual Plan provides deeper detail of programs, their strategies and performance measures. To complete the cycle the Annual Report presents the extent to which strategies have been addressed.
